The Wren School Project began as a project to document the history of the village of Wren, Ohio. It was started by William G "Bill" Tope and has grown with the help of his daughter, Christine, and his granddaughter, Victoria.
The digital side of this project solicits #SmallSchoolStories from all over the United States as a way for these memories to be documented and for people to connect to those they hold dear. Take a video, share a photo, write a poem, share an interview; anything that brings you closer to the ones you love. Share your stories through our google form, or by using the hashtag #SmallSchoolStories on any social media platform.
So sit down, grab a drink, and let's all take some time to share some small school stories.

The Wren School Project began to preserve memory of one place, and has expanded to include all stories of small schools. This project aims to collect and preserve stories through the act of storytelling. We hope others will be able to connect with their loved ones in the ways that we've been able to share stories through the years.
